This week has been a little out of the ordinary for all of us.  We were so excited to spend some more time outside enjoying the weather, and it was not to happen.  Instead we made do, by blowing bubbles inside and trying some new and old games to keep us busy. One of our favorite games is Don't Break the Ice and a new special game is Perfection.  It takes a lot of patience, coordination and skill to master these games.  When we finally made it outside for some serious exercise, we played the game Cat and Mouse.  It was exhausting yet fun.  We also kept busy making flowers, reading about plants, checking our bean plants, and playing some learning center games involving flowers.  In addition we continue to keep reviewing all the information we learned this year.
Thanks parents for all your help with activity bags and homework.

Spring is here and we are so excited about all the wonderful changes that will be occuring in the next few weeks. We started out planting a garden this week.  We spread out the dirt (aka pudding) and made our rows then planted our seeds.  Unfortunately we don't think M&Ms are made this way.  We decided they are made in a factory.  Later in the week we decided to plant some real seeds and see what happens in the next few days.  We are hoping for better results.

In preparation for Spring we made some chicks and a sun to help brighten our room. Maybe the sun will help our plants grow!

In addition we have been practicing the Bunny Hop and have learned a couple new games;Late for Supper and Old Man River.

It is always wonderful to hear what the children want to be when they grow up. We had a nice variety of chosen occupations as you can see from the following list ; Ava-doctor, Oliver-fight fires, Brayden-build houses, Klaire-dentist, Nathan- firefighter, Kolt-police officer, Tarynn-cheerleader, Jude-worker with tools, Owen-vet, Presley-teacher, Rhyleigh-vet, Jonah-vet, Jackson-vet, Serenity-nurse, Kendyl-nurse, Elliot-firefighter, Max-pharmacist.  We also spent a lot of time exploring  occupations through guest speakers, smart board, books, stencils and cards.  Some of us practiced our skills as a plumber and construction worker using some of the tools of the trade.

A special thank you to our guest speakers: Troy Summer from Summers Ridge Veterinary Clinic, Katie Hayes from Parties and Wedding Plus,  Dustin Lotton from MEI Elevator and Diane Mountain.  The children enjoyed all the information they shared with them.
